Resources include Learner Activity Workbook PowerPoint Slides Workplace/Simulated Workplace Tools and equipment (e.g. hand-held spectrometer, colorant dispenser, mixing receptacles, paintbrushes, stirring implements, mechanical paint mixers) PPE SDS for all materials Tinting formula record form Workplace Practical/Simulation Task 2.1 Observation - Match specific paint colours You will be required to complete Part 1: Plan and prepare Part 2: Match paint colour to sample Part 3: Clean up Your task For this task, you are required to colour-match a minimum of four previously-painted samples: Two different solvent-based paints Two different latex/acrylic paints. The above samples must include: A minimum of two samples in-situ Two different sheen levels Use of a minimum of three colour tints in each colour to be matched.
