Situation:

A recent study from the University of Houston Hobby School poll indicated that 51% of Harris County residents believe lack of access to healthcare is a major concern. In the Improve phase of your Lean Six Sigma project, you need to identify solutions to the problem. So, you decide to creatively brainstorm ideas for improving access to healthcare with the assistance of some of your co-workers (Be sure to collect some creative ideas from others from your family and friends). Then, you will use multi-voting or nominal group technique to determine the idea(s)/solution(s) you will implement to solve this problem.

Instructions:

Use information from your training manual in Improve Phase - Lessons 5-6 to assist you with the activities that follow. Be sure to follow the "best practices" for each tool you use in this workshop.

Activities:

1.a. You must brainstorm with a group. Describe the brainstorming method/approach you used in this Workshop. See the methods/approaches described in the slides on Brainstorming in the Training Manual.
