Figure 2-1 on "How Laws Are Made" (Wilensky & Teitelbaum 2020) states that the bill has to be voted on by Congress, which is The House of Representatives and the Senate. Then, the bill is sent to the President of the United States if congress decides to vote for the bill to become a law. Then, the President can choose whether or not to sign the bill. Finally, if the President signs the bill, it becomes a law. It is an excellent way to create laws because they follow a process to achieve the final decision. The law is a system of rules enforced through a set of institutions to regulate human conduct; therefore, it is essential to create effective laws that act as a guideline for what is accepted in society.

This "How Laws Are Made" process provides a sense of structure; that way, all parties involved understand that congress is the only part of the government that can make new laws or change existing laws. It is not only the President that has the power to finalize the laws. These laws have a daily impact on our lives and should be taken seriously.
