write a 1,000 word essay explaining some poetry. Choose three poems on any topic (love, death, inspiration, patriotism, etc...). Your task is to explain each poem in detail....tell me what it means and why you think it means that. Also, explain how it fits the category you have chosen. Introduction: Tell me which poems (and type of poems) you have chosen & why. Body: Use one body paragraph for each poem. You need not include the entire poem, but I expect you to quote the poems as you explain them. For example, "I think the poet is trying to define what love is, especially in the first three lines when he says " ". That sort of thing. Conclusion: Explain which of the poems you think depicts the subject matter/category best and why.
