1. Write a mail merge application. A business letter (a string) contains special "control codes" where certain information is to be inserted: ^L should be replaced by the customers lastname, ^F by their firstname, ^A by their address, and ^D by the current date (in short date format). ^N should be replaced by the characters. Characters 8 through 12 of the letter always contain gibberish and should be removed during the merge. The user will enter the letter string, first name, lastname, and address strings to use. An example letter string follows:
