Write a new research proposal 1) Problem statement: Study the youth unemployment rate in China. Include an essay that demonstrates that there is a problem. 2) Significance of the study: explain why the study is necessary. What does research mean for society? Include at least two (2) articles that present similar research on the same topic and explain how your research differs. 3) Rationale: Which government agency has primary authority over this issue? Explain how this research can encourage changes in government policy. What strategic goals of the institution are your research addressing? 4) Research Question: List your research question based on the problem statement. (Chapter 3, p. 54) 5) Theoretical/conceptual framework: Do you use quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods? Case studies, basic theory, etc. Explain why or why not? List your assumptions. (Only required for quantitative studies). 6) Methodology - Research Design: Describe your research participants in detail. (Who are you interviewing? Who do you want to complete your research? Who knows or has experienced this situation?) 7) Sample Design: Describe your sampling design in detail 8) Tool Development: Include your interview questions, include follow-up questions (qualitative) or share your survey questions (likert scale or not) (quantitative). 9) Data Collection and Data Analysis: How will you collect the data? How will you analyze the data? 10) Time frame and pricing: Outline the time frame and pricing of the study. 11) Finally ask your funders to fund your research.
