The purpose of the policy is to ensure that new facilities and changes to existing ones include innovation and sustainability as a core consideration in their design and operation. The policy must comply with legislative requirements and support minimising resource use, resource efciency, reducing toxic material and hazardous chemical use, employing life cycle management processes and continuous improvement.
