2. While doing this assignment, make sure that you use all the components of negative message discussed during class i.e. Buffer or cushion, Explanation, Negative news (indirect and polite), Empathy and Redirect positively/Conclude.

3. Go through the online resources/links I have shared below before attempting to complete this assignment. The resources/links contain the general rules/suggestions for writing negative business messages.

Assignment:

Convert the following negative message statements into polite business messages. But first, go through the below mentioned online resources/links for guidance. You are required to write at least a paragraph against each negative statement below. Feel free to make up your own story while writing the paragraphs.

1. You are fired.

2. Our company has faced major financial loss due to Covid-19 pandemic.

3. This is your last warning.

4. You have failed to perform good in your exam.

5. I dont like you.

Dear Mr Mahmood Qureshi

Thank you very much for your email. It is good to know that you are already interested in our latest products. As you mentioned, the latest Touch phone was just released 5 days ago and has been receiving overwhelming response. Apple is currently understocked serving the US and Europe markets for now. Therefore, the Ipod Touch will only be available in Seoul after Christmas. I hope you understand that as per the directions from the headquarters, and we have to focus our supplies to specified areas and can gradually expand services to other areas subject to the stock availability. However, we will surely put your name on the top of our waiting list for the new Touch, but in the meantime, we are offering the 2nd Gen Ipod Touch at a 30% discount. Please let us know if you are interested in this offer or need more details.
