Writing Project and Presentation

PROJECT INFORMATION:

As a new manager you will be determining and justifying the cost for a new product in a decentralized organization and reporting your analysis to the owner.

Course objective(s) covered: 1,2,3, and 6

REQUIREMENTS:

Based on your readings, use of technology, literature, and other sources do the following:

• Select an existing company and give a brief description of the company of your choice
• Identify a new product you want to develop a cost analysis for this company
• State if you will be using job order of process costing for this new product and why this is appropriate for the product
• Identify the fixed and variable costs associated with the product you have selected
• Identify the various cost centers in the organization you have selected
• In your analysis to the owner, you will also be creating an Excel spreadsheet as an exhibit to support your conclusions.
