Yes, I do think that someone should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. My biggest reason is her encouraging words to do so, tonight is the night, its now or never. When someone is feeling vulnerable in a situation like this, you never tell them to do it; those simple words will push someone over the edge. Even if her mental state is not there in that moment, it is not an excuse for her words. Involuntary Manslaughter is when you kill someone unintentionally, and that is exactly what happened in this case. I am glad she got the help she needed, though, and is doing better; she still has to live with the guilt, unfortunately, that she contributed to his death.
Suicide is one of the worst ways to lose someone; everyone who loved and cared for this person will always think of ways they could have helped this person, or why they didnt notice they needed help. It will always stick with them. I think that teens are so vulnerable to the effects of suicide because I feel as though many teens feel the need to hold themselves to a certain standard. When I say this, I mean social media has given us this very unrealistic beauty standard, not just with women but with men as well. When I was doing research, I found on the CDC website under suicide prevention, that in 2023, Men were four times higher with suicide rates than women. In this country, we do not take mental health seriously enough. Men think they have to be okay all the time, which is not the truth at all. What is your reaction to this post.
