You are now ready to further develop your database topic! Previously, in module 1, you brainstormed the nouns that are associated with your database topic; now you will create a draft ERD in ERDPlus.com or any other tools to finalize your conceptual phase. Once you have completed your updates, you will submit them in Canvas.

Here is the step-by-step process that you should follow.

1. Identify the system that you want to implement. This should be completed and approved in Module 1

2. Analyze all the systems requirements. This should be completed and approved in Module 1

3. Identify the list of entities and attributes (Candidate keys, Derived, Composite, or Multivalued attributes).

5. Identify the PK/FK for every entity

6. Identify the relationships between entities (1 to 1, 1 to M, and M to M)

7. Create the draft ERD diagram

Note: Remember, every system/business requirement you identified in step 2 MUST be captured in your drafted ERD.
