You are required to undertake a workshop practical activity by carrying out a major engine repair on a military vehicle in accordance with a work schedule e.g. JAMES/TDOL/AESP M4 & D2 (evidence must include associated documentary, written evaluation (including technical data), list of tools and equipment used, observation record, photographs would also be suitable supporting evidence) M4 Prepare a work schedule for and then carry out a major engine repair procedure to include any of the following: strip and inspect bore and crankshaft journals for wear or cylinder head for distortion and valves for seating and damage. The main element for you will be to demonstrate planning then working unsupervised throughout the task and to then reflect on your working practices and how you follow technical guidelines and other sources of information to complete the task safely.
