The business process you are looking to change relates to a telephone assistance line where people in need can call the organisation for emotional support and counselling over the phone. Senior management of the organisation (project sponsor) has asked you to reduce the number of full time employed staff in this role and replace them with casual and part-time workers. This change is necessary because of a reduction in government funding for the organisation. Reducing the number of full-time workers will result in a reduction in the number of counsellors available to take calls from people in need. You are in the process of determining your stakeholder management and communication plan. Required (200 words or less): a. Identify 2 different stakeholders (other than the project team and project sponsor) for this project and also provide an opinion as to whether each of these stakeholders should be considered as having high, neutral or low interest the project AND if they should be considered as having high, medium or low power over the project. Provide a short explanation of your reasoning for this assessment. (5 marks) b. Detail a short communication plan (no more than one paragraph) for each stakeholder using communication methods appropriate for the assessment of interest/power that you made in part (a).
