You have been assigned to develop an information system to store Mathematical equation and formula. After collecting the information system requirements, you need to produce the system design. The information system requirements are describe as follow. The information system that going to be developed has two end-users which are the System Administrator and Student. Both users will use different login screen to log into the information system. The System Administrator will log into the information system using registered username and password. System Administrator will insert Mathematical main areas which are Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. Then, the System Administrator will insert Mathematical equation and formula branches belonged to each main area such as Number Theory and Algebra for Pure Mathematics area and Probability and Statistics and Mathematical Physics for Applied Mathematics area. Later, the System Administrator will insert the Mathematical equation and formula details by selecting the main area first and followed by branch according to the selected main area. Then, the System Administrator will insert required information of Mathematical equation and formula including evidence such as images or PDF files. The information system will store System Administrator ID who performed the three insert processes which are i) add area, ii) add branch, and iii) add equation. The reason the System Administrator ID is stored is for audit trail purpose. The second end-user of this information system is a Student Student needs to enter student number and password to log into the information system. Once the student successfully log into the information system, the information system will record the login detail for audit trail purpose and then student is allowed to make an equation and formula search by entering any keywords. The information system will display relevant results according to the keywords entered by the student. Student is able to view the equation and formula details by clicking on the results. The details include main area, branch, and equation details together with the evidence. The information system also will record viewing detail for audit purpose as well. As mentioned earlier above, the information system records student login details and viewing details, basically for audit trail purposes. It is because the information system has capability to show student login statistic and equation and formula view statistic to the System Administrator. The two statistics are very important to the System Administrator to show how important is the information system to the student.
