You have been reading about the testing movement that is developing in psychology. You also read about the tests that were given to immigrants coming in at Ellis Island. In recent years the idea of intelligence has changed dramatically with the theorizing that there is not just one "intelligence" to be measured, but that intelligence is possibly 3 to 12 different areas - each measured in different ways. What do you think of the idea of various standardized tests being used as an indicator of possible success by universities, primary and secondary grade schools, business, and industry?
