You will conduct a semi-structured interview to understand why some students in a University used Student Counselling whilst others did not. This subject was felt to be significant in relation to the perceptions of how students learn to take charge of their lives, acquire skills necessary for adjusting to the demands of university life, and overcome difficulties that may prevent them from meeting their academic and career goals. You are asked to provide your interviewees with a list of themes that you wish to explore during the interviews.

Requirements:

1. a. Develop at least three interview themes.
2. b. Based on the themes, develop at least six interview questions including the following types: introducing, probing, specifying, structuring, interpreting, and indirect; and
3. c. Discuss the key areas of competence that you will need to conduct this interview successfully.
