You will conduct a time study for the overall time for your process. You will conduct a time study $($Link$)$ of your process to measure the overall time from beginning to end, as well as$,$ the time for each process step $($the $5-7$ steps$)$ on your process map from assignment $2.$

You will Perform a waste audit to identify the wastes in this process using the provided waste audit template $($link$).$ After completing the textbook and supplemental article readings, you should have sufficient knowledge to critically identify wastes in your defined process. Challenge your current thinking about the process when analyzing potential issues $($see waste you never quite saw before, must have $3$ per category$).$ Look at your process, and use the waste categories to identify $3$ wastes in your process for each category. $($The optional lecture has specific examples$)$

In your Lessons learned section: Set an improvement goal for your chosen KPI's. Now that you have measured your process and identify the waste; you have a better sense of the potential for improvement. You can change any of your KPI's, Lo$$k at your waste audit. Those items are easily measured and all of them would make great candidates for a KPI. Think about what wastes you hope to eliminate in your process and how measurably that can improve your overall KPI's.
