Question: You will create and send your instructor a meeting invitation in Outlook with an attached meeting agenda. An agenda is a roadmap for a meeting.

You will create and send your instructor a meeting invitation in Outlook with an attached meeting agenda. An agenda is a "roadmap" for a meeting. It will keep you on track as the meeting facilitator. I always recommend having two agendas, one for your attendees (to send with the meeting invitation) and one for you the facilitator to use during the meeting. Include in the second agenda what you will use as the facilitator, include two techniques to use for ice breaker or brainstorming or decision making. If you have taken Meeting Facilitation course, you can refer to that material. If you have not taken the Meeting Facilitation course (or need a refresher), refer to the folder within this module or do a Google search for 'icebreakers', 'group brainstorming techniques' and 'group decision making techniques in a meeting'. Choose two that you would feel comfortable leading to help the group get to know each other, brainstorming ideas and to make a decision.
Read through the attached files above. The meeting will be centered around getting employees excited about student orientation day. You may want the president of the college to come and speak? You may want to split off into groups and have a brainstorming session for ideas to do during the student orientation. An agenda template has been included if you need help with a topic for a meeting and how to create an agenda. Looking forward to your meeting invitation.
To complete this assignment you will send your instructor a meeting invitation through Outlook. You will use your Madison College Outlook account by doing the following:
Create two agenda(s) in Microsoft Word for a meeting, including the date/time; topics to be discussed; names of presenter(s); times for each presenter to present; etc. The template has items in italic that will be changed by you. One agenda will be for you as a guide when you are the facilitator; and one will be for your attendees or meeting members.
Create an invitation in Outlook, send it to your instructor (cdailing@madisoncollege.edu) with the attached attendee's agenda (not the facilitator's agenda - that will be submitted through Blackboard)
Include a message within the Outlook invitation (i.e. "Hope to see you there!!)
Use the agenda(s) template (see above) as a guide. You will need to fill in the details for the meeting. Be creative but think logically for the topics.
Submit both agendas (attendees and facilitator) in the Blackboard link above.
