You will make a portfolio on a current biotech issue. This portfolio will include a description about the application of biotechnology. You will need to conduct an unbiased benefits and risks assessment. You must include a concept map linking your biotech application to the whole unit, as well as a diagram explaining the workings of a technique of your choice with a clear original figure caption. You can add your own biotechnology. This is just a starting point.

Requirements Goals

1. Topic description: Deep and clear explanation of topic provided. Science and processes are explained using appropriate and advanced terminology. Description allows the audience to come away with a good understanding of how and what this technology is.
2. Appropriate Diagram(s): Large, clear and detailed diagram included. Captions written in own words to fully explain technology
3. Laws in Canada: Laws and regulations thoroughly explained. Potential bias and any conflicts of interest acknowledged and mentioned.
4. Application of in Industry/Agriculture: 2+ examples of it technology being used today and a full description of the risks and benefits surrounding this technology.
5. Risks & Benefit Analysis: Fully detailed analysis of numerous risks and benefits assessed.
6. Further Reading: Provides link for 2-3 news articles not dated older than 3 years ago pertaining to latest research and developments in the field.
