Instead youll be writing two thesis statements and list supporting evidence that address the following prompt: Many works of literature offer a glimpse into the struggles that women face as they attempt to assert themselves in a culture that often wishes to suppress them. Each of the poems listed below features a female figure. For each of the two poems, write an effective and convincing thesis that addresses the female speaker's perspective on love. Note that in one poem the speaker is talking about her former lover, and in the other the speaker is addressing the girl in the picture who is meant to be the object of love or desire. After you have written a separate thesis statement for each poem, list three quotes for each thesis statement that you would use if you were to write a complete essay. Then, in one to two sentences explain how the quote would be used to support your thesis
