RE: Computer Plan for New Branch Dear Harry After thorough research, I have determined the following will be needed for the new branch of the Happy Pets Animal Clinic. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Computers Needed for Employees: I have included a total of 6 Desktop Computers with Monitors and wireless keyboard and mouse. One for the Office Manager, two at the reception desk for three receptionists to share and three Desktops in exam rooms for six technicians to share. I have also included three mobile tablets for three veterinarians. All systems will be running Microsoft Windows 10. Mobile Devices will also run windows 10 Ancillary Computer Equipment Needs: I have included three VoIP phones one for the office manager and two at the reception desk. I have also included an all in one printer/fax scan machine at the receptionist desk as all to share. The facility will have wireless capability for mobile devices and mobile printing. Wireless will be encrypted using WPA2 PEAP. In addition, I would like to recommend specific computer equipment and supplies procedure. I have included a 24 port power over Ethernet (POE) router/switch to connect to our ISP fiber connection and to connect all computers, VoIP phones, wireless router, access points, and printer/fax/ scan machine. A wireless router, and three wireless access points are also included in the design. Our goal will be to service all equipment in-house when needed to include updates and software maintenance. Maintenance will be done weekly after hours on Tuesdays. We will use cloud based services for e-mail, storage, file sharing, data collection, and backups.
