Your first homework assignment case in chapter 1 will be about a small business that is booming. Thats a nice problem to have, right? Notice the word problem in that question. Can growth be a true problem? Please post your thoughts on how a business owner might mis-handle growth. Think in terms of earning money versus spending money. Whether in our personal lives or in business, we hope to earn more than we spend. If a business is growing in revenue (earnings), what could happen on the expense side (spending) or with the business' reputation that is bad for future success? Have you seen or heard or any experiences that a business may have had problems with handling its growth well?
