Your instructor recently talked about the work she has been doing with a non-profit organization, Dress For Success (this is a real organization you can research on the web). This group works with economically disadvantaged women and encourages self-sufficiency through career development and employment retention. As part of its program, Dress For Success provides each client with a suit when she is ready to interview for a job and a week's worth of clothing once she has the job. You have decided that you would like to collect donations of business suits and professional clothing to give to Dress For Success for its clients. You have a May 31st deadline for all donation collections, which you should make clear in your letter. You should also make clear how you wish to collect the donations - drop-off at a named location, pick-up service offered, etc... Be specific!

Write a letter USING THE AIDA FORMAT and indirect approach that can be sent to friends, family, acquaintances, and classmates asking for clothing donations to this worthwhile program. Be certain to use the strategies outlined in Chapter 10 that apply to persuasion, such as anticipating objections and making the effort as easy as possible. Allow one complete paragraph for each part of your message - ATTENTION, INTEREST, DESIRE AND ACTION. Each of the four paragraphs should contain a minimum of 100 words.
