The design discharge is 200 ft/s and the following conditions are to be considered: • Elevation at culvert face: 100 ft • Natural stream bed slope: 1% • Tailwater depth (for 200 cfs): 3.5 ft • Approximate culvert length: 200 ft • Shoulder elevation: 110 ft Base the design headwater on the shoulder elevation with a 2-ft freeboard (elevation of 108 ft). Set the inlet invert at the natural stream bed elevation (no fall). Analyze the design.
