Your original case final project will be an 8- to 10-page (2,000 to 2,500 words) in-depth analysis of the leadership communication issues raised by real-life events that you have participated in or observed. Your case should include:

A description of the situation (generally the longest portion of the case)

Identification of the leadership and communication issues in the situation under investigation.

Analysis of the issues using concepts and principles from the course.

A conclusion based on the analysis. Should include an evaluation of the behaviors of the participants (if the case is based on past events) or detailed recommendations if the case is situation to be resolved.

You may want to contact your mentor initially with a short description of the case you want to study, including pertinent details. This way you can receive approval for your idea and proceed with confidence.

Your mentor's evaluation will be based on:

Your description of the issue, situation, or problem (evaluated for thoroughness, clarity)

Your identification of leadership communication issues (evaluated for accuracy, completeness)

Your conclusion (evaluated for quality of evaluation and recommendations)

The quality of your writing (evaluated for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and clear wording).
