Your task is to work as a team on an operations or a supply chain problem with a local company of your choice. The problem could be any operations or supply chain problem such as one related to inventory, transportation, sourcing, quality, or project management.

Your goal is to:

Reach out to a local business

Collect data on one aspect of their operations

Use one or more of the analysis techniques we studied in class to evaluate the efficiency of their operations

Use the concepts we discussed in class to suggest improvements to the company$$s operations

Project Deliverables:

Each team must submit two documents:

A pdf document:

Describing the local business and the business problem you chose

Describing the data you collected and how you collected it

Detailing the analysis you conducted, including any Excel sheets or POM$/$QM analysis as screenshots in the appendix of the document

Explaining your results and what they mean for the business

Suggesting improvements or adjustments the company can make to be more efficient or profitable

A PowerPoint presentation $(15-20$ minutes$)$ on your work that you can share with the class.
