Workers know they are protected by the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and so don't have to worry about unethical standards.

Workers would appreciate better safety regulations, but not at the expense of their jobs.

Workers are not worried about finding new jobs so would prefer us to insist on higher standards even if it means layoffs.
