5. MegaStat steps to create the frequency polygon are as follows:

a. Open Excel and from Connect, select Data Files, Tables, and select Table 2–4.

b. Click MegaStat, Frequency Distributions, and select Quantitative.

c. In the dialog box, input the data range from A3:A70, select Equal width intervals, use 60000 as the interval width and 120000 as the lower boundary of the first interval.

d. Check the box beside Polygon, and click OK. The frequency polygon will appear on the Output sheet.

e. Note that MegaStat creates the frequency polygon using percentages. To change to frequencies, right click inside the plot area of the chart. Click Select Data. In the Chart data range box, select the frequency range, and OK.

f. Edit the titles.
