Considering the application described in the preceding exercise, what changes would you make to the user interface screens to bring them into compliance with the human engineering guidelines described in the textbook? Be specific in your answers. Have a couple of fellow students and/or co-workers review your changes, one as a user and the other as a designer: Did they find new problems?

Select an application that is used in your organization or school and that has more than one user interface screen. Also, try to select an application that you haven't used before, or at least one that you haven't used for a while. Test the user interface design against each of the human engineering guidelines described in the chapter Make sure to enter incorrect as well as correct data. Describe the application and user interface screens that you tested How many guidelines did the application meet, and which ones were they? How many guidelines did it fail, and which ones were they?
