Situation 1 Your parents are paying for your university education. Paying the tuition and housing bills can be a hardship for them, but their hope is that you succeed with your education and complete a degree in business. Although you appreciate their sacrifice and are loyal to them, your passion is to become an actor and attempt to find a career in entertainment. Therefore, you wish to major in theater. Unfortunately, when you shared this wish with your parents, they not only opposed your choice, saying it was “unrealistic” and “very unlikely,” but they also told you that if you chose to major in anything but business, they would end their financial support for your education.
