For a simple E-Business effort, develop a template using the following steps:

Identify 10 to 15 highest level summary tasks.

Identify the same number of major milestones. Put these into a task list.

You now have a very high-level work breakdown structure.

Identify dependencies between all tasks and milestones. Note any cases in which you are having trouble deciding if there is a dependency. Later, you will be able to determine such dependencies when you create more detailed tasks.

Now, for each major task, write down the detailed tasks. Put these under the summary tasks.

Identify several key resources for the work. Assign these to the detailed tasks
