This week we read a lot about early government and democracy. Write a two-page paper discussing the various ways ancient governments differ from modern American democracy. Feel free to use examples from the modern world to balance what we have learned about Athens, Rome, Sparta, Persia, and other ancient societies. In the process, though, you must demonstrate a good understanding of the ancient world.
