Suppose that the specifications require that the surface area must be between 0.3 and 0.6 cm2/g and that the density must be less than 14 g/cm3. Find a set of operating conditions that will result in a product that meets these requirements.
In Minitab, two tools can be used:
1. Overlaid Contour Plots to overlay multiple contour plots on top of each other in a single graph and identify regions of factor values that meet requirements.
2. Response Optimizer to identify the combination of input variable settings that jointly optimize a set of responses.
