Spent a good few minutes rummaging through things online trying to find a solid database book for school that wouldn’t totally wreck my budget, so stumbling on this one at a sweet discount felt like luck. Honestly, what got me started serious with it was Chapter 3, which deals with relationships between tables — yeah, that part where everything clicks into place in your head kinda weirdly. Before digging into it, I was struggling to piece together how primary and foreign keys actually danced together and made the database more than just a messy heap of info. Getting through that chapter wasn’t just readable but kinda eye-opening for me. It was the moment when the whole idea of making sure data isn’t duplicated and how it keeps the system clean really hit home. I’m not a hardcore tech wiz by any means, so it was cool how the examples, especially the table layouts, helped me understand rather quickly without any annoying jargon. What blew me away was that after wrapping up Chapter 3, I was able to help my group buddies set up a small project in class correctly. I mean, I used what I learned almost right away and got to explain those concepts to others without feeling lost, which surprised me! If I had to nitpick — maybe some pictures could be a little bigger or more eye-catching, sometimes felt a bit dense on the pages but it wasn’t a big hassle. By far, this book feels like something that truly makes databases less intimidating, especially for someone like me who hates complicated textbooks that read like manuals. If you’re needing a database book that is clear and actually helps break down tricky parts like table relationships, grab this, definitely worth it, especially if it’s on sale for you. Would recommend to anyone fumbling with database basics and eager for something straightforward but practical.

Needed something for my Bachelor of Science in Information Systems studies and chose this book since it was on discount which was a nice bonus????. the print and paper feel sturdy enough to toss in a backpack and not stress about tearing it. i started reading a bit and it’s easy to get through, nothing crazy confusing or super technical which suits me fine. haven’t gotten too far but it looks like a no nonsense kind of book that should get me through my coursework. delivery didn’t take forever either so yeah, pretty happy with it so far.

Was super glad this showed up super fast for my course CIS 3100: Database Systems and Design and the textbook feels really good quality like the pages aren’t flimsy or cheap which matters when you’re tossing it in your bag all the time. grabbed it at a discounted price too so that was nice since textbooks are expensive rip. haven’t had a chance to read much but from the first few looks it seems straightforward enough and heavy enough to be serious but not too overwhelming. not many frills but it’s exactly what I needed for class so all good here.

Needed this database book for my Fort Worth State University course and scored it at a discount which was awesome because textbooks always hurt my wallet. the print feels sturdy and i’ve noticed it’s not one of those flimsy books that fall apart when you carry them around. started cracking it open the last couple of weeks and honestly it’s way easier than expected and doesn’t overload with unnecessary stuff. helps a ton with my homework. didn’t get it super fast but was ok since it came perfect condition. overall pretty happy with it so far, will keep using it this semester for sure.

Picked this up on discount for my course CPSC 310: Database Systems Design and Management. The pages feel solid and the size is manageable, so not too bulky which is nice for hauling it around campus. Haven’t gotten deep into the chapters yet but the first few bits are clear enough, not confusing, though some parts felt a bit basic. I guess it covers the essentials all right but nothing super exciting so far. Shipping didn’t take forever and the book arrived without creases or marks which was cool. It’s decent if you’re looking for a text to lean on without extra fluff, but not something that blew me away.
