I stumbled onto this book while scrabbling for study materials last week — it’s actually required reading for my accounting class but honestly, I wasn’t too sure what to expect. The thing holding me back was trying to wrap my head around complex cash flow statements; they always gave me a headache. When I hit Chapter 5, which dives into cash flow analysis, something just clicked. The way the chapter breaks down the mechanics felt way less intimidating and there were examples that actually made the flow of money much more visible in my mind. I with my eyes wide open reading that part and kinda felt like I could finally catch up in lectures. What helped even more was how it compared different cash flow scenarios — sounded abstract at first, but after plugging some stuff from a company’s annual report during my internship, all those ideas landed perfectly onto what I saw in practice rather than just tables on pages. A minor nitpick? The text around some of the formulas got a little dense. But the neat charts solved a lot when my brain started to fry. CSS exam prep feels less scary now because of that straightforward chapter. I grabbed this book at a discount which made wanting to try new study materials easier for me and honestly, if you’re struggling through financial statements like I was, I’d say it’s worth a peek for parts like this. Sleeper hit — especially for us beginners wrestling with the money flow mess. Gonna keep it on hand for sure.

Grabbed this book for my Cal State LA course on a whim after checking out deals on Better World Books but honestly SolutionInn was way faster and cheaper which sold me. haven’t gone through it all yet but stuff I've read makes more sense than the last textbook I tried. chapters I looked at have decent examples and aren’t super tough to follow even though accounting can get tricky. shipping from SolutionInn was quick and cool packaging too. if you want something that’s easy to jump into and don’t wanna wait a million years to get it, I’d give them a shot. getting it discounted was a neat bonus!!

Overall, it's a decent introduction to financial reporting. The book is good for beginners, but I found some chapters lacking in depth for seasoned readers. While it covers the basics well, it doesn't delve deep enough into some advanced topics. Arrived fast and in good condition which was great, but I wish I would've gotten more content for the buck.

Bought this to help with a Jacksonville State University course and so far it’s been pretty good for making some tricky topics easier. the examples really help to get what’s going on without feeling lost in numbers. order came quick and at a discounted price which made it an easy buy. haven’t finished it yet but parts i’ve read don’t drag on too much and it’s not super boring which honestly makes study time feel less awful. feels like something i’ll be able to use more than once in my classes.

Needed this for my course ACCT 303: Financial Reporting and Analysis and got it at a discounted price so that was awesome—book came in pretty fast too. I’m only a couple chapters in but it’s working really well for breaking down income statements, which usually confuse me but here they kinda make sense. Not overloading with fancy language helps keep me going without zoning out, and some of the diagrams actually help me picture what’s going on instead of just lots of numbers. Not done yet but so far it’s making this tough stuff way easier to get through.

I picked this up for my course ACCT 3150: Financial Reporting and Analysis since I needed something that actually broke stuff down instead of just throwing numbers at me. So far, I’m about halfway through and like how it explains tricky parts, especially the ratio analysis chapter—it made things click in a way other books didn’t. Also, got it for a good discounted price so that was sweet. It isn’t perfect; some sections felt kinda wordy, but I’m still happy with how it’s helping me keep up with lectures. Quality is good, and the package showed up faster than I expected which was a nice bonus.

I found this book while looking for something to make my finance class less confusing, and honestly I wasn’t expecting it to help much because I always freak out staring at statements with a bunch of numbers. But when I read through Chapter 6 about cash flow statements, I felt like the fog lifted a bit. All those tricky cash inflows and outflows suddenly started making sense instead of being this giant puzzle. The examples were cool because they put real companies’ numbers next to the explanations, which helped me actually picture how cash moves rather than just read words on a page. It took some time and re-reading certain sections (because some parts are kinda wordy), but the diagrams did a lot of the heavy lifting for me. I even used what I learned during a part-time internship - when they asked about reading cash flow reports, I could talk about stuff that actually mattered and not just pretend I knew it. The textbook arrived with a decent discount which made me try it without much risk, so big plus there. Would’ve liked some more short quizzes or something for practice though - would make study sessions easier. All in all, Chapter 6 felt like such a big breakthrough, and I’m glad I grabbed this book since it makes stuff that once felt like a nightmare start looking manageable. If cash flow statements give you trouble, this chapter (and book) are honest helpers.
