Found this book while searching for something that could actually help me figure out my finances and it ended up being pretty solid. My main headache before was money slipping through the cracks every month - thought I was doing okay but just no clue about budgeting for real. When I landed on Chapter 5, all about budgeting and money management, it kind of clicked how I was ignoring simple things. The examples here made what seemed confusing feel a lot easier, like actually doable without beating myself up over expenses. It made me think a lot about where I’m spending and how to plan better. I didn’t expect to get practical takeaways just by reading, but after that chapter, I started tracking my daily expenses which is something I totally skipped before. I mean, it’s rough at first but seeing the numbers really opened my eyes. The only thing I felt could be improved is some more up-to-date examples about using apps, since it barely touched on online tools for money tracking. Still, it’s pretty clear and has helpful explanations. I grabbed the book at a nice discount, which makes it totally worth it for how quickly it came and how helpful the budgeting parts already are. If you’re like me, sort of struggling with where your money goes and maybe scared of budgeting, this part at least can kickstart things without becoming overwhelming. I’m definitely gonna use this section as my main guide for a while. Would recommend to anyone dealing with cash flow issues but maybe not expecting a finance expert level top-up.

Grabbed this for my course FIN 200: Personal Finance Management and it came way quicker than I expected, which was great. Haven’t gone through much yet but the textbook feels nice and looks easy to flip through. Cool that I paid less for it, which helped since textbooks aren’t cheap.

It arrived quicker than I thought and the condition is just perfect, no damage or anything. I’m using it for my course FIN 201: Fundamentals of Personal Finance and it’s made some of the budgeting stuff easier to get – which is what I really needed. Haven’t read much beyond the first chapters but it’s not overwhelming or complicated at all, which helps a lot. Also, managed to score it at a discounted price so I didn’t have to freak out about textbook costs, which is awesome. Looks like a very useful book to keep around during the semester.

This book serves as a solid foundation for anyone wanting to improve their financial literacy. The content is well-organized and the examples are easy to follow, helping to demystify subjects like investing and retirement planning. However, a few sections could go deeper, especially on more advanced investment strategies. Nonetheless, it's a good mix of theory and practice. The book shipped promptly, and I used my membership to get a nice discount, which was a plus!

‘Personal Finance’ is an informative guide that mixes academic insight with everyday financial advice. I found the chapters on budgeting and debt reduction particularly relevant in today’s economy. The section layouts with bullet points made the theories easy to digest. Everything came intact in one delivery. While the book covers a lot, there’s always room for more examples. Still, for someone new to managing money, this is a fantastic choice!
