Book Price $0 : 'This addictive novel is the SLIDING DOORS of American politics. Gripping' Stylist'Startlingly good. One of my favourite writers' KATE ATKINSON----------------------'Awfully opinionated for a girl' is what they call Hillary as she grows up in her Chicago suburb.Smart, diligent, and a bit plain, that's the general consensus. Then Hillary goes to college, and her star rises. At Yale Law School, she continues to be a leader - and catches the eye of driven, handsome and charismatic Bill. But when he asks her to marry him, Hillary gives him a firm No.How might things have turned out for them, for America, for the world itself, if Hillary Rodham had really turned down Bill Clinton? With her sharp but always compassionate eye, Sittenfeld explores the loneliness, moral ambivalence and iron determination that characterise the quest for high office, as well as the painful compromises demanded of female ambition in a world ruled by men._____________'A lot of fun. A wonderful sad dream of what might have happened' Guardian'It ends up being a love letter to a type: the female intellectual, who is given none of the licence of her less talented male peers. At the end, I found myself saying Oh My God' Observer'An explosive new book' Grazia

Wow! Rodham is truly captivating. This book dives deep into the complexities of decision-making and how a single choice can alter the course of history. The speculative aspect is so well done that it feels almost real. I ordered this with my premium membership and got a great discount, plus it was delivered the very next day. Truly a 5-star read!

Rodham is an outstanding narrative that intricately weaves history with what-ifs, creating a profound reflection on personal and political identity. The way Sittenfeld captures Hillary's voice is nothing short of genius. The book arrived quickly, in excellent condition—kudos to the delivery service. Highly recommended for anyone interested in alternate histories and female political narratives.

I found Rodham to be a very engaging read with an interesting take on alternate history. The narrative style keeps you hooked and provokes thought on what might have been. It balances personal and political themes quite well. My only gripe was some sections felt a tad slow. Nonetheless, a good purchase. Also, the book was well-packaged and came quicker than expected!

Rodham has its interesting moments but I felt it dragged at times, making it a bit of a slog in parts. Not a bad read overall, just not as gripping as I hoped. Delivery was prompt though!
