3 years (and continuing) of research and teaching experience as a half-time teaching PhD research scientist at the Dept. of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. I have two master's degrees: one in biochemistry and another in bioinformatics. My research subjects also include molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology and genetics.
Therefore, I have theoretical and practical research expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology, genetics and bioinformatics. But it also includes applied and interdisciplinary areas of biology and life science with a fair bit of chemistry. Being a research scholar, I'm constantly on my toes keeping up to date with the latest cutting-edge topics in the field with a firm foundation of the basics.
