Plan a ten-minute presentation on a topic about which you are knowledgeable—a hobby, a task, a vacation trip, a part-time job, directions to complete a task, or other topic. In planning the presentation, make an outline of major topics for the presentation. Keep the number of slides to five, including a title slide and a summary slide. Check three topics that you believe will be of major interest and importance to your class members. Select and prepare a slide that can be quickly read and understood for each of these topics. Follow the guidelines in the chapter for selection and preparation of the slides. If the Internet will be available in your classroom, insert a relevant URL, a blog, a short video link, or an illustration (photo, clip art, or Smart Art) on one of the major topic slides. Be prepared to present your topic to your class, and submit an electronic copy CD to your instructor.
