Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Investor/earnings/trended/quarterlyincome- statements.aspx and download Microsoft’s financial statements by clicking the Financial Statements link in the upper-right part of the page. Copy the Quarterly Income Statements worksheet to a new workbook.

a. Reformat the worksheet so that it is suitable for a pivot table. This will require changing the year headings to actual dates (note that Q4 ends on June 30 of each year), deleting any blank rows or columns, and then transposing the data. Also, delete the segment data for Revenue and Cost of Revenue.

b. Create a pivot table that shows the net profit margin for each quarter and format it appropriately. This requires you to create a calculated field.

c. Add a pivot chart that displays the results from part b over time.

d. Insert a Timeline so that you can filter the data. Use the Timeline to show only 2018 and 2019 data.
