Neglecting capacitive effects, calculate equivalent input noise voltage and current generators for circuit (iv) of Fig. 11.50, assuming that the spectral density of the flicker noise in the MOS transistor drain current equals that of the thermal noise at 100 kHz. Assuming that following stages limit the bandwidth to 0.001 kHz to 20 kHz with a sharp cutoff, calculate the magnitude of the total equivalent input noise voltage. Ignore gate-current noise in (11.15) and (11.16). (Assume Cgs= 0.)

Fig. 11.50:

ΓΕΡ Γ ΓΗ 100 kΩ 10 ΚΩ ν, ν. Vs 1 kΩ 10 ΚΩ Ic-0.5 mA , β = 100, r,= 100 Ω (ii) Ic=0.5 mA, β=100, r, = 10

100 k 10 , . Vs 1 k 10 Ic-0.5 mA , = 100, r,= 100 (ii) Ic=0.5 mA, =100, r, = 100 (1) 10 k 10 Ic- 13 A = 50 , - 100 (i) 3 1 mA (iv)
