Happiness Works (https://friday.work), a consulting group dedicated to improving work conditions, recently showed that 18- to 34-year-olds are the happiest workers in the U.S. economy. They showed that only 8% of workers 18 to 34 years old stated that they are unhappy, whereas 16% of workers 35 to 49 years old and 17% of workers in the 55 + bracket stated that they were unhappy. However, they also showed that happiness does not just depend on age but also on the job field. The happiest fields were marketing and creative, followed by administrativeand clerical, and the happiest role was senior executive. The following table shows happiness data by age group and job field. These data can also be found in the file happiness.xlsx.
