Benjamin Franklin made use of a “bank” of Leiden jars (Fig. P18.82) for some of his experiments. 

(a) Are these 35 Leiden jar capacitors arranged in series or in parallel? Close inspection of the photo shows that the central rods of the jars are all connected together. 

(b) Calculate the maximum capacitance obtained by such an arrangement using the capacitance for one such jar found in Problem 81. 

(c) What is the maximum amount of energy that can be stored in this bank of jars?
