The demonstration described in Question 14 often has some additional components, sometimes including tubes of aluminum and lead with the exact dimensions of the copper tube. The magnet falls at a different rate through the different tubes. Why? Rank the tubes from least to greatest according to the time interval for the magnet to fall through the same distance. Table 19.1 may be useful.
