The fuel weighed 6 pounds per gallon. The plane took off from its home airport, and made a detour to take aerial photographs, so it flew 220 miles before landing at the landing strip, which is 150 miles from the airport. There were 4600 gallons of fuel remaining in the plane when it landed at the landing strip.
