3. Self-awareness is very important. As we get to know ourselves, we can identify barriers to acceptance by others. Once you have identified your most preferred communication style, you have taken a big step in the direction of selfawareness.

If you have not yet determined your most preferred communication style, take a few minutes to complete the dominance indicator form (Figure 3.2) and the sociability indicator form (Figure 3.4). Follow the instructions provided.
