If there is no discrepancy, then employee records the items received in the system.
A receiving report is generated and sent to the accounting department. Accounting department updates the accounts. If there were discrepancies, then the purchasing department would attempt to resolve them and generate a receiving report; otherwise, discrepancies are recorded, a discrepancy notification is generated, and this is sent to the vendor.
