A student was interviewing for a full-time position with a firm. The on-campus interview went very well, and the student was invited to visit the offices, which were located some distance away. The firm bought the student’s airline ticket, made and paid for the hotel reservations, and planned the office visit for the following month. Two days before the office visit the student called and told the firm that s/he could not come to the office visit because s/he had accepted a job with another firm. Discuss this issue from the point of view of the student and the firm.
