Form groups of three to five people. Search the Internet using the terms “job costing software” and either “construction” or “manufacturing.” Select three sites offering job-costing software solutions, each offered by a different vendor, and two other sites not affiliated with vendors that explain how to select job-costing software. Choose five sites (in total) that offer more information than is available on the average site. Prepare a report recommending one of the three software solutions for either construction or manufacturing applications, covering the following points:

• What are the benefits of each solution?
• What are possible weaknesses of each solution? The non-vendor affiliated sites that explain job costing software may help on this point.
• Some vendor sites may offer demonstrations of their solutions. If possible, try these and report on your experience.
• Some solutions may appear to function differently than job costing is presented in this chapter. If so, explain such differences.
• Conclude with your recommendation and explain it.
• End the report with a reference list of your five site addresses.
