This experiential exercise consists of a thought experiment that asks you to think how you would respond to a situation where you believe that your direct supervisor is sexually harassing you by badgering you for dinner dates after you have already declined his invitations several times. As a consequence of these rejections to his romantic interests in you, the supervisor retaliated by using abusive language and creating what you consider to be a hostile and stressful work environment. Who would you first go to for support to deal with the hostile work environment? How would you be able to prove to others that your supervisor is creating a hostile work environment related to sexual harassment? When would you decide to file a sexual harassment com- plaint with the HR department? How will you know if the HR department personnel will take your sexual harassment complaint seriously? Be prepared to share your answers to these questions with other members of the class.
